Rather than associating two terms such as geology and tourism, geotourism associates two of the most important elements for every visitor: nature and humanity, a true connection between the geological characteristics of a territory and the local culture. Geotourism inextricably intertwines the history of the earth with the history of human and living beings and bases its activity by integrating conscious tourism and knowledge to the interpretation of places, usually geosites, keeping in consideration and subjecting to key rules such as conservation, environmental integrity and sustainable development.
It is a fundamental resource of a Park’s economic policy and represents in a certain way its identity through operators, guides, services and the population itself. Each of the above promotes nature, culture, tradition, playful activities with the absolute aim of involving and exciting every visitor.
